Terms of Service

Effective date: April 12, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using BudgetMaxxing you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Deletion Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

BudgetMaxxing provides budgeting, transaction categorization, and cash planning tooling for service-business operators. Features may change over time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, for enabling and protecting your multi-factor authentication factors, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Financial data & Plaid

BudgetMaxxing uses Plaid to retrieve account and transaction information from financial institutions you choose to link. By linking an institution you authorize BudgetMaxxing and Plaid to access that information, and you agree to Plaid's end user privacy policy at plaid.com/legal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use BudgetMaxxing to: violate any law; infringe the rights of others; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system; introduce malicious code; or interfere with the operation of the service.

6. Subscription & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your workspace settings.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time as described in our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

8. Disclaimer

BudgetMaxxing is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Forecasts and recommendations are informational only.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BudgetMaxxing's total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by email before they take effect.
